Special Demonstration Squad

The Special Demonstration Squad (SPS) is an undercover branch of Greater London's Metropolitan Police Service (MPS or the Met), set up in 1968, to infiltrate British protest groups.[1][2][3][4] It is part of the National Public Order Intelligence Unit (NPOIU), and worked closely with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).[5]
